May 27 – 30, 2018
My first trip to Alaska and certainly not the last. This trip planned by The Wayfarer Travel Co. worked out perfectly from Day 1 to Day 18. The trip was a family vacation and by family vacation I’m not talking kids – I’m talking four adults in their 30s – my wife, older sibling and younger cousin.
The trip started in Las Vegas, where pretty much the itinerary entailed shows (KA by Cirque du Soleil and Celine at The Colosseum – yes, I know Celine but in 2018 there’s just a handful of divas left) and typically unhealthy American fare. The shows were good not great and Celine actually came out on top. The reason is I’ve seen a number of Cirque shows including O at the Bellagio, The Beatles Love at the Mirage, Mystere at Treasure Island which are way better.
Having lived in this part of the world for almost two years, I’d already done all the fun rides, but had to go on the rollercoaster at New York New York. It’s such a fun ride and a great way to see the city (day or night) from a completely different POV.
So whilst this blog is supposed to be about Alaska, for now a little bit of Vegas will have to suffice!
